This is a familiar scripture, especially to those with a heart towards missions. Isaiah heard and responded. Yet the Lord was not speaking to him alone. Had that been the case, the Lord would have called him out, "Isaiah, will you go for us?" The Lord spoke to all who had open ears to hear his voice.
The Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever.
He is speaking the same words now! The cry is urgent as many are lost without Christ. "...and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?"... The Lord is calling for His laborers to go to work.
"Many are called, yet few are chosen." Does the Lord play favorites? The Bible tells us that He is no respecter of persons. All are to be involved in the ministry of reconciliation. Yet within that direction we all have a calling to fulfill, each unique as God has purposed. The Lord spoke generally in the days of Isaiah. (Many are called). Yet Isaiah, heard and responded (Few are chosen). Isaiah was willing to lay down his life to go and speak to people who would not even receive the words he had to proclaim. Yet, he said, "Yes Lord, send me." The chosen are the ones who are willing to be "the chosen" by making themselves available. God asks for our availability and as we respond, He provides the ability.
If you have yet to release yourself to say, "Here am I Lord, send me".
Then pray, "Lord, make me willing to be willing." Have you heard the voice of the Lord?
Have you said the words, but need the direction and preparation?
Contact International Accelerated Missions today. We believe that God has called us to
help servants like yourself get started …and then maintain a support system to assist you in
your ministry calling, under the covering of your local church body.
Many are called, few are chosen. If you sense the Lord calling you into His service now is the time
to put action to the words, "here I am..." so that we can say, as the Lord did, "I have finished the work that you gave me to do." (Jn. 17:4) There is much work left to do.... Let's do it!!!
Blessings to you as you continue to seek and serve the Lord …
